You need JavaScript enabled to view it John is a missionary with the North America Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention. His assignment with NAMB is to work with Hispanics in seven counties in the South East corner of Alabama. His missionary work includes networking with established Spanish speaking churches and discipling, training, and planting other churches for Hispanics. He and his wife, Dana, live in Dothan, AL with their two sons, Daniel and Luke. Dana teaches high school math and Spanish at Providence Christian School. John and Dana both graduated from Auburn University in 1987. While at Auburn, Dana studied secondary math education and John studied the science of building construction. John finished his Masters of Divinity at New Orleans Baptist Theological in 1995. Before coming back to Alabama to work with NAMB, the Gunters were IMB missionaries in the Dominican Republic for 8 years where they planted churches among Dominicans in the capital city of Santo Domingo.

A native of Mobile, Alabama, Gene Ziebach lives in Dothan, Alabama. He has been married to his wife Linda Kinsey for 30 years. They have three children and four grandchildren. Gene is a graduate of The University of Southern Mississippi (B.S. in Liberal Arts and Troy University MSHRM). He also holds secondary teaching certificates in both Alabama and Mississippi with endorsements in Political Science and History. He is a member of Mount Gilead Baptist Church, Dothan. He has served as a member of the mission team since 2005 after making his first trip to Honduras in that year. He has returned every year since. At Mt.Gilead he serves as usher and greeter. He has also worked since November 2008 as a volunteer supporting the efforts of the Southeast Alabama Hispanic Coalition in Houston and Henry Counties.
He is currently employed as General Manager of the Dothan Country Club.

Missions Stories
What can you do in local Hispanic ministry?
Missions are defined as people reaching out to other people with the Gospel and, as Acts 1:8 says, this outreach is to occur in Jerusalem (your neighborhood), Judea (within Alabama), Samaria (within the United States), and to the ends of the earth (everywhere else).
