Mission trip to the Dominican Republic and Haiti

What does it mean to go on a "mission" trip. Usually when we use the word mission it means that we are going somewhere to do ministry. We are commissioned by God's word to go and tell others about Jesus and how they can know Him as the Lord of their lives. As Christians, we have been commanded to go and tell other about the "hope" that we have in Jesus. In Spanish hope is called "esperanza". We have the "esperanza" of our Lord Jesus and have the opportunity to share this Good News with others. This is what we have been doing this week during our Vacation Bible School.
