HOPE HERE INTERNATIONAL MINISTRIES"WHO WE ARE"Hope Here International Ministries, Inc. (HHIM) is a non-profit 501c3 organization dedicated to spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ in both the United States and Internationally. We know that our hope lies in Jesus Christ, and we want to share this hope, not confining ourselves to "man-made" boundaries.
We are based in Dothan, Alabama which is located in the southeast corner of the state adjacent to the Florida and Georgia borders and only four hours from Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. Our domestic focus begins with churches and organizations in our immediate area striving to provide and assist in mission opportunities both here and abroad. We consider ourselves interdenominational and will work with any Great Commission church whose desire is to make Christ known here and around the world.
Our primary focus internationally is in the countries of the Dominican Republic, Honduras, Nicaragua, Guatemala and other Latin American countries. Our goal is to provide a constant Christian presence in specific areas in order to make a difference rather than just treat the symptoms. We feel it is important to show Christian compassion through meeting physical needs, through construction, personal hygiene and education along with our evangelism and training projects. Our desire is to offer whatever help is needed, where ever help is needed, in these areas; whether it be through medical journeys, prayer walking and evangelism, education, construction or any combination thereof.
Certainly we know everyone does not feel a call to missions or cannot go because of physical or other obstacles, but we pray everyone can participate in some way. We are funded solely by contributions either monetary or through donations of supplies. If you, your church, or other organization would like to be involved in our efforts to further God's Word, please contact us. We can help you advise you where your donation or service can best be put to work in our ministry.

CHILDREN'S MINISTRYHonduras
The needs of the children in rural Honduras are monumental. Medical and dental care is limited as most villages do not have clinics available on a daily basis. Medical care often requires travel to larger towns and even then monetary resources required are not always present for many families. Thus, basic health care that we take for granted is impossible for many Honduran children.
Volunteering to serve on a Honduran trip is only one way of serving these children. You can also serve through monetary and material donations. Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the Kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these. Matthew 19:14." HHIM volunteers understand the importance Scripture places on all people, but especially children. All HHIM ministry efforts include a children's ministry. Ministering to the beautiful children of Honduras is no exception.
Currently, mission efforts in Honduras involve HHIM volunteers who participate on teams sent by the Honduras Baptist Medical Dental Mission. HBMDM Teams typically go to remoter settings in Honduras. In these often mountainous areas, the needs of the children are considerably different from those mission teams find in the larger urban areas such as Tegucigalpa and San Pedro Sula.
